Probably the best dentists I've ever visited. The reception staff are lovely and the dentist sat down and explained everything to me which I've never experienced before!I imagine if you are a nervous patient, they would really make you feel at ease. Highly recommend this dentist surgery.
Suitability for Invisalign treatment will depend on your individual needs. During your initial consultation we will be able to advise whether aligner treatment is a suitable solution for you, or whether an alternative treatment would be better.
Invisalign clear aligners are made of strong, medical-grade thermoplastic material, uniquely developed for the Invisalign system. They are custom-made for you to fit over your teeth and are completely clear, making them almost invisible when worn.
While using the clear braces, your teeth will be moved very slowly into position over an extended period of time. You can expect to experience some tenderness for a day or so at the start of a new aligner in the series. This is a positive indication that the treatment is working, because it means the Invisalign aligners are causing your teeth to move.
To clean your Invisalign aligners, simply remove them, rinse with cold water, and brush gently with your toothbrush. Don’t use warm or hot water, as this may cause your aligners to lose their shape, meaning they won’t work properly.
Invisalign treatment generally takes between 12 and 24 months and sometimes even less than a year. Typically, the more complex your treatment, the more aligners will be needed and the longer your treatment will take. For the best and fastest results, you should wear your aligners for a minimum of 22 hours per day, removing them only to eat, drink and clean your teeth.
In most cases, patients will attend Invisalign appointments every four to six weeks. During this appointment, we will check to ensure treatment is progressing as it should and provide you with your next set of aligners.
Once you have finished your Invisalign treatment and your teeth are in their new desired position, it will be necessary to wear a retainer to prevent your teeth from reverting to their original place.
Composite bonding typically lasts for around three to five years. This treatment does require regular maintenance, with polishing during your routine dental check-up.
Composite bonding can be removed and replaced if necessary. However, removing the bonding material may require taking some of the natural tooth structure away too.
We recommend completing a course of teeth whitening with Kreate Dental before starting composite bonding treatment. This will enable your dentist to match the new whiter colour of your teeth with the composite material.
With the right care and by maintaining good oral health, your dental veneers should last between 10 and 15 years.
It’s important to brush and floss your teeth regularly and to avoid biting into hard objects, such as ice or hard candy, which can chip or break the veneers.
The process for getting dental veneers typically involves some discomfort, but most patients do not experience significant pain. Your dentist may use a local anaesthetic while preparing your teeth for the veneers, to minimise any discomfort. Following the treatment, some patients report experiencing some mild sensitivity for a period of time, although this should settle down within a few days.
Alternative treatments to dental veneers include teeth whitening, composite bonding, and orthodontic treatments such as Invisalign.
